About Paul Todd
The Ministry
Renowned Christian artist Paul Todd has been ministering through his gift of music for many years. He uses his talents to entertain families with ministry-oriented, family-friendly music. Every fundraising concert tour he performs raises money for churches, ministries, and various charitable organizations. In 2005, Paul Todd Charities, Inc. was formed to support small, unfunded local and national charities, including street missions, food banks, homeless shelters, and organizations serving wounded veterans.
The Talent
Although Paul was called a child prodigy at the keyboards, he discovered that he could fully develop and understand his talent through years of study, practice, and experience in different areas of the music business. As a child, he realized he could hear entire symphonies and musical scores in his head, but it took years of training to teach his hands and feet to perform what he heard automatically. Drawn to keyboards and organs rather than a traditional piano, Paul enjoyed the instrumental voices on keyboards, allowing him to create the sound of a full orchestra independently.
Paul is best known for his unique concerts. While he is first and foremost a Christian artist, his performances also include original works, classical pieces, popular hits, and Broadway selections. He often accompanies himself by playing six keyboards simultaneously, moving his fingers and feet with lightning-fast precision—something audiences can watch on a large mirror set up behind the keyboards. In addition to his instrumental brilliance, Paul is recognized for his smooth and powerful vocals. Blending talent with a sparkling wit, he creates inspirational and entertaining concerts, making them unforgettable family events.
Columnist Jack Moss remarked, "I've seen Todd do his thing in concert and I think he's impossible to top as an entertainer." Paul continues to perform more than fifty concerts annually, many of them benefiting charitable causes.
The Composer
Paul has composed theme songs for many prominent organizations, including Men in Mission for the Men in Mission organization; Make a Wish, written for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and later recorded by Crystal Gayle; and Christmas Is for Children for the Toys for Tots program. Paul's music video Christmas Is for Children is broadcast nationwide during the Christmas season. He has also composed the full scores for two musicals, most recently A Christmas Carol, which ran in New York for many holiday seasons. Past productions have starred Wilford Brimley (The Firm) and John Astin (Gomez in TV's The Addams Family). In 1999, Paul wrote The First Lady in My Life, which has become one of the nation's most popular mother/son wedding dance songs.
A Few New Musical Accomplishments
Paul's Spirit of Christmas DVD received a Telly Award in 2004. He also orchestrated and performed the music for the Halo Baby series for children, produced by Sky Angel Productions. Paul Todd in Concert is a half-hour television program broadcast nationwide every Thursday evening through Sky Angel IPTV and the Dish Network.
